Privacy Policy for Family Journal

At Family Journal, we value your privacy. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information:

• Information Collection: We collect personal information such as your name, email address, and content you post.
• Use of Information: Your information is used to provide and improve our services, communicate with you, and personalize your experience.
• Data Security: Journal body text is encrypted at rest and decrypted by the service when needed. This is not end-to-end encryption. Titles, tags, prayers, and photos are not covered by that encryption. Private journal entries are accessible only to their author; family entries are accessible to signed-in members of that family. Photos require authorized access.
• Offline Writing: Drafts and unsent entries are stored unencrypted on your device and separated by account. Signed-in pages and photos are not retained in the app's offline cache. Signing out clears account-owned local drafts and pending entries after you confirm any unsent writing can be removed. Unassigned writing retained by older versions requires manual recovery or removal.
• Cookies: We use cookies to enhance your experience on our site. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.
• Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell or rent your personal information. Service providers support payment processing, email delivery, and hosting. Public pages may use analytics; signed-in journal pages do not load those analytics.
• Changes to This Policy: We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
• Contact Us: If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us at [email protected]

By using Family Journal, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe online experience.

For more details, please read our Terms of Service.

Thank you for being part of Family Journal!
